Get Moving!

Monday is the perfect day to kick your week off on a fit and healthy note. In light of summer and all the fun things that come with it, such as trips to the beach and pool parties, I wanted to share a great motivational tip for you guys to keep in mind throughout the week:

I love this quote because it inspires me to get moving! Even the simplest of exercises and moves, such as walking or jogging, can make us happy. Our mood becomes more positive because natural chemicals in the body, called endorphins, are released during exercise. These chemicals interact with our brain, reducing stress, warding off anxiety, boosting self-esteem, and improving sleep. Oh yeah, and exercise is great for getting a fit, fab bod too!
Not only is exercise a positive influence on your body, as well as essential for your health, but it can also be a lot of fun! Single song workouts  and simple moves for different areas of your body are fun ways to keep moving. Each day I try to do something from my 3 Moves Series. I do moves for my arms, my booty, my abs, and my legs! And all of these routines take less than 15 minutes. So why not get your workout on and boost your mood at the same time?

Benefits Of Yoga

yoga image 1 3649Hey Beauties! Today I wanted to share some quick benefits of doing yoga with you guys. Yoga is really helpful with A LOT of things, see for yourself!

Physical: The movements of yoga will carve out a long, lean, strong, and confident body.

Mental: All those deep breaths reset your mind back to its natural state: calm, focused, and sharp.

Psychological: All the focusing inward illuminates our behaviors and tendencies. The same habits we have on our mat are the ones we have in our lives. We see this, and we gain the freedom of choice. Who do I want to be? We get to create or re- create ourselves each day. Regular practice gives you a clear mind and the inspiration and courage to be constantly expanding and improving your life.

Neurological: When your brain is “on yoga” your neurological system is brought back into balance and is conditioned to steer you naturally toward a healthy lifestyle. Our bodies are constantly rewired to make whatever we practice get easier. When we practice healthy, balanced living we get more healthy, balanced living.

Intuitive: When there is tension in the body and mind, your intuition gets buried and your body switches to survival mode. Your yoga practice makes space in your body physically, releases tension, and calms your mind, making room for your intuition to float to the surface and guide you.

Creative: Creative juices start to flow when your body and mind begin to release mental blocks. Creativity doesn’t like to come out when there are stressors, whether from physical tension or mental cloudiness. When the stress melts away, creativity can come out to play.

Connected: Yoga is the practice of getting connected. However you choose to view your spirituality, when you practice yoga, you remember that we all are connected, here to help each other, and that we have so much potential when we are kind to others.

It’s not as if apples didn’t have enough virtues. Sure, one a day keeps the doctor away. It’s not clear which apple components do what, but several antioxidants and flavoring are likely active in multiple ways. Drinking two cups of apple juice a day may be the easiest way to save your brain.

Running, you guys can’t even imagine how beneficial running can be for you & how much I love running. More and more people are slacking off from staying healthy especially during winter time and all they need is a little motivation. Today I will tell you guys 6 great reasons to why you should start running. People run for many reasons to lose weight, get fit, be more healthier, compete in races or try something new. Whatever your reason is you will gain much more mentally, emotionally and physically than just losing weight or getting fit. Here are my 6 reasons why you should start running:

1. Running will improve your health – The biggest benefit of running is that it’s good for your health. It is an excellent way to strengthen your heart and ensure that the efficient flow of blood and oxygen throughout the body, which helps decrease the risk of a heart attack. If your blood pressure is above normal exercise combined with maintaining healthy weight is the best way to reduce your blood pressure. Running can also keep your high cholesterol in check. Running will also improve your immune system, in result of making your body fight off germs more efficiently and more effectively.

2. You can lose weight -Many people start running to get skinny. Running is definitely a good way to burn calories and lose weight. If you already have a healthy weight then running can help you maintain it. But don’t start thinking that now you may eat anything you’d like. The wight loss rule is that you must burn calories than gain calories.

3. Running will improve your energy level – Running is what you really need that will boost you up on your tiring and lazy days. I have experienced it myself running improves my energy levels during the day. It is even better if your on a healthy diet, that will give you an excellent energy level.

4. Running makes you feel good about yourself – In my experience running increases your self-esteem and your confidence. The self-esteem benefits of running can increase if you select a goal (like a 5k run or a marathon) and accomplish it.

5. Running is inexpensive & versatile – For running you need very little equipment, & it can be done anywhere. All you need is a pair of running shoes, and your ready to go out the door to run!

6. Running helps you with stress relief – There are tons of methods and ways to relief stress, running being one of them is an excellent cure for stress, emotional strain & even mild depression.

If you do something 3 times a week you’ll get in the habit of doing it but if you don’t do it once, then you will never do it.
